#GC – Writ Period
This probably was not the best time to start a blog in the #GC. So there may be only small updates until after the election.
We are in the “writ” period right now (the period when an election is called) and the “The Caretaker convention” has kicked in. As a public servant we are expected to restrict public communications. Check out the info graphic Amanda Bernado pored recently on her Twitter.

#GC – Data Day at Health Canada
One of my roles inside Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat’s @DigiEnablement within the wider #GC is to help bridge gaps between people across the Government of Canada. You’ll find me attending events in other departments every week. Last week I was delighted to discover The Solutions Fund: Powering Employee Innovation at the Health Canada Data Day.
The Solutions Fund was set up by their DM to invest in employee-led innovation and experimentation projects that will improve services to Canadians, enhance the functioning of the Department and deliver greater value to taxpayers. The fund is in response to TBS directive and launched inside Health Canada, May 2018.
They currently have seven projects they are working on, and you can find more information about this on the internal network:

#NonGC – Synthetic Dreams Factory – for Quanex
Designing motion graphics is my love, and outside the 9-5, I am heavily involved in many projects that involve motion graphics, music, illumination and sound. Late Sunday night, I completed an eight-screen and six-screen production that will loop at the Quanex booth in Atlanta. After working after hours, late nights, and on the weekend, it is finally done! I can’t wait to see the photos of what the multimedia looks like inside the entire booth.
