Hey Canada!
Well, it only took sixteen years, and by sixteen years I mean, I registered: robbutler.com May 13th, 2002 with the intent to create a website. After procrastinating until 2007, this little student startup company named Facebook showed up and took away all the need to create a personal website of my own. Facebook let me add photos, videos and tag my friends in them. It was a great place to share things you were doing with your friends.
However a few months ago got me thinking about the way Facebook manages your data. My old way of thinking had concluded, don’t post anything you don’t want the world to know. The piece of information I was missing though, was the fact that Facebook is tracking you where you go, what you buy on the internet and so much more.
So here we are today, launching my site, for real this time on June 15th, 2018.
I’ll be posting so much more here and slowly disengaging from Facebook.
